Change and Release Manager

We are currently working closely with one of our biggest client in the Insurance world. We are currently loking for an experienced Change and Release Manager to join this Global firm and take them forward with their plans over the next 5 to 10 years.

Job Purpose

The Change and Release Manager will be responsible the Environment and Configuration management for all production software releases. This will initially focus on the strategic Policy Administration System(PAS) application set but will extend to all other application software releases over time. A plan for extending the scope of the role to include all software will be required to be defined by the appointee and implemented within 6 months of the start date. The Successful manager will be responsible for the overall Release Schedule and Implementation plans for all Changes to the BAU environment, both application and Infrastructure.

Key Tasks

* Management of an effective shared services team covering release management , implementation management, environment management and configuration management
* Creation of technical implementation plans covering multiple integrated applications
* Hands on execution of medium / complex technical implementation activities
* Delivery to performance KPIs for environment availability and provision
* Management of environment booking, usage and schedules ensuring effective planning and issue management in place. Responsible for identification and progression of any additional environment expansion through early engagement in Programme and Project pipelines
* Responsible for the Configuration management of all code and configurations through the Route to Live(RTL)

KEY SKILLS

* 7+ years of experience as a practitioner of IT in a large IT provider or IT user organisation
* Proving expertise in successfully creating and executing medium/complex technical deployments into Production environments
* Experience in managing teams of different cultures across various locations in a complex matrix environment
* Expertise in managing teams and senior stakeholders in the delivery of IT Service Management specifically; Environment & Configuration Management, Release Management, Implementation Management, Service Transition and Change Management
* Proven ability to manage senior Business customers/stakeholders
* Proven track-record in IT Services Delivery
* Proven track record of continuous improvement in a multi disciplined IT environment
