Desktop Technician – Service desk – Helpdesk – West Midlands – Our client a leader within their field and a household name are looking for a Helpdesk Technician – Analyst to be involved with To provide maintenance of the computer desktop environment by analysing requirements, resolving problems, installing hardware and software solutions, and supporting users. To be responsible for administration and internal support of the Company’s technical infrastructure, printers, servers, switches, phone systems and related equipment, you will have the following skills and competencies:-

* 1-2+ years’ experience supporting complex networks with Microsoft servers, Cisco firewalls, VMWare, HTTP/S, TCP/IP, Active Directory, MS Exchange, MS terminal services, DNS services, Spam filters and VPN management
* Experience of working in a virtualised environment (e.g. VMWare) is required
* BSC in Computer science, MIS or Technical discipline
* Certification in Microsoft, Vmware, Citirx, Cisco or Sonicwall desirable
* Highly motivated, experienced, resourceful and efficient with a ‘can do’ attitude
* Strong work ethic is a must
* Must be self-motivated, eager to learn and willing to take direction
* Organised and detail oriented, with demonstrated analytical skills
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to assess and clearly communicate technical and project risk
