Project Support Officer required for a leading financial client in Central London

This contract is initial 12 months

The candidate will need to be able to demonstrate strong project management skills with the Technology arena

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide project support for existing and future complex projects
  • Assist with the compilation of governance and other reports and presentations for project boards
  • Maintenance of RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues and Dependencies) and action logs
  • To undertake project data analysis, and assist with project benefits/evaluation monitoring
  • Establish, develop and maintain effective working relationships with team members, colleagues, senior managers, external individuals and organisations
  • Engaging with internal stakeholders to present findings, recommendations and to deliver the actions agreed
  • To undertake administration and financial monitoring of projects
  • Undertake other assignments from time to time, depending on the needs of the programme

Key requirements

  • Knowledge and understanding of Project Management, experience of working in a technical project environment, including project planning, budget monitoring, problem solving, benefits realisation, performance and risk management
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), including the ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders, using good inter-personal skills
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks appropriately in a fast-paced project environment
  • Professional demeanour and presentation at all times
  • Good understanding of the public sector and the financial sector
  • Exceptional attention to detail skills in order to produce governance reports for senior managers and project boards
  • Ability to use IT applications and to be self-serving in respect of word processing, Microsoft project, spreadsheets (including data analysis), PowerPoint, outlook and the internet
