Service Transition Manager

An exciting opportunity has come up for a Service Transition Manager to join a leading family owned business in the Leicester area. You will be working alongside an experienced management team, helping them transition projects to the BAU space. With an excellent understanding of ITIL, you will be tasked with developing the standard approach for the transition of projects.

Role responsibilities:

* Owning and developing the service transition process approach , gaining buy-in from both the Project and Service teams
* Design and agreement of the detailed service model for the capability being delivered, ensuring there are clear responsibilities for business users, 1 st , 2 nd and 3 rd line service teams.
* Identification of any additional skills or training requirements within the Service Teams to support the new solution, and putting actions in place to close any gaps.
* Working with the project team and Service Desk team to ensure that the appropriate categories, scripts, common issues etc are available to the Service Desk.
* Negotiation of service contracts and SLAs with 3 rd party suppliers
* Managing the completion of the required service transition documentation and operational acceptance checklist.
* Ensure that all the relevant document is centrally filed and accessible to the relevant teams

Skills required:

* Extensive ITIL based service management and service design experience, delivering IT change/service transition projects
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to present ideas and solution to both business users and IT teams.
* Demonstrate an analytical approach to problem solving
* Outstanding team working, time management and organisation skills
* Be able to extract key information and formulate a planned method of service delivery
* Be able to demonstrate the ability to negotiate and influence both external third parties and internal colleagues within the business and IT.
